“When I was four I remember my father bought me a vinyl record of famous cartoon theme songs as a present. Out of fascination and curiosity, I used to place my little finger on the spinning vinyl and was amazed at how with every slight touch and nudge, the sounds would alter. It was the realisation of this synesthetic experience, the fusion between tactile and audio senses that triggered a change in the way I perceived sound and music. Ever since then, I developed a deep passion for sound and distinctly remember spending the next two years of my life sitting in front of the turntable playing all my parents records from ‘Pink Floyd’ to ‘Lou Reed’. But for me, they were all just black plastic, that’s what my mum tells me I called them, black plastic plates.”
He is currently a member of the ETM  (Entertainment/Music/Technology) ‘Art company’ studio in Milan and began working freelance doing sound installations, writing music for pictures and advertisement. Fascinated by surround sound, he began to experiment with the 5.1, composing music and different kinds of soundscapes for different situations. He also collaborated with studio bizzarro for the project called "Anima Sonora", a soundscape used in several different spa centers around Italy and was presented at the "Salone del mobile Milano 2010" exhibition.
After working for different theatre companies, various gigs and TV stations (RAI Italy) as a freelance sound engineer, Manuel moved to London/UK for two years in 2010 and worked as a sound engineer at RNSS (the Royal Festival Hall, Queen Elisabeth Hall, Brecon jazz and London Jazz festival, and other venues.
He is interested in producing and composing inside the electronica music world, he has performed in festivals and clubs around Europe.
“Our society is based on the power of what you can see and what you look like, people should start thinking about what they hear and listen to every day.”
