HARRY POTTER FILM NIGHT BAKE SALE!

As tired as they were, after the test shoot, the wonderful Kim and Kirsty went to sell the Harry Potter themed cakes they had baked the night before the shoot until 3am. They sold these cakes at the Harry Potter film night held in the SU at Goldsmiths College University of London. (Sadly, other grp members couldn't attend this event as it was from 9pm-3am, and they very lived far away). However, we felt REALLY, REALLY BAD so this WILL be the last time we'll leave them all alone to do a fund raising thingy... :)

Test Shoot: 'Killing Two Birds with One Videotape?'

We completed an 11hr studio practice shoot today which began around 9am and ended around 7:00pm. Regardless of how knackered we are, everything went smoothly...was a delight to work with Sally and Aqil... :) We will be cutting this over the next couple of weeks until the 14th of Dec. Yay! (See images below...)

Auditions 2 - The role of Fred and the Postman... (Guys)

Unfortunately, we didn't receive an overwhelming response from the guys...as we only had 35 applicants for both roles. However, we tied this down to a very disheartening fact we heard . . .  

Dear readers; 'Apparently there are about 5 girls to every guy in the acting industry.' Absolutely insane!?! Indeed. But its true. So guys/dudes...if your reading this...DO SOMETHING, WE NEED MORE OF YOU...NOW!!!  

Anyway, once again, our producer and director set out on the mission of narrowing the list down to 18 potentials. The auditions took place on the 3rd of November, at Goldsmiths College, Room 150 from 10am - 6pm. We did indeed meet some interesting characters within those few hours, some  were  truly inspiring, while others just totally creeped the hell out of us!!??!!  Nonetheless, now that we look back, it was an enjoyable experience.  Again the auditions were recorded to aid the decision making process.

On the day the whole group had an immediate favorite for the role of the postman but we were divided over who to cast as Fred. 

After re-watching the auditions the next morning, Kim decided to call-back 3 guys for the role of Fred. This time they would audition along side the lead actress, Annie. A good opportunity for us to see the dynamics between the two...this would help us decide better! :)

We arranged the call-backs on the 9th of November from 10am till 2pm in room 306... again documenting their performances and taking snapshots. Having gone through the footage that evening, we were still kind of divided... but it was up to Kim to choose who ever she felt she could work with best and who she thought suited the role better...

Bake Sale!

And after an evening of long baking, we sell some cakes and popcorn at this event we organized (see poster below) that same evening:

And then we sold more cakes the day after in the 'Stretch' at Goldsmiths University: (See Poster below)

 And here we are trying to sell off our wonderful cakes for £1 each. These two days were a success as we raised £60! Thanks to everyone that bought our cakes. And to those who didn't, well...you missed out! They were yummy! :)
